Very basic bamboo hut accommodation in Tibiao River, Antique

Do-your-own hiking, river kayaking/rafting and upland villager interaction at Kayak Inn on the Tibiao River, Antique.

Have you soaked in a hot kawa? An Australian guest was particularly wrapped in the experience, declaring as she lay in her tub sipping her tuba (fresh coconut wine): "You've gone to so much trouble to light up the trees for Christmas.

Kayak Inn, then as now, has no electricity but does have thousands of fireflies lighting up the acacia trees on the banks of the Tibiao River. Caretaker cook, guided hikes, kayaking/rafting, meals, drinks, transport to & from Boracay

Two hours away from Boracay Island is Kayak Inn, in the upland village of Tuno. Tuno is to Boracay what Ubud was once to Sanur or Kuta on Bali-a sleepy, picturesque, upland village ideal for unwinding and taking in the local color. Perched beside the Tibiao River in Tuno is Kayak Inn, lying at the foothills of the majestic Mount Madja-as, at 2,000-plus meters the highest mountain on Panay island. Designed to blend with the environment and what it offers, the Kayak Inn is an adventure camp, whose centerpiece are native huts made of crushed bamboo each with a garden bathroom and a "kawa" - a large wok-like bath for two that are heated by fire. A healthy respite from the partying of Boracay or the stress of city life is assured with heaps of fresh food, fruit and the local coconut wine called tuba, as well as long walks and exhilarating sessions in rafts or kayaks on the Tibiao River.

Award-winning 3-day tour to Kayak Inn on the Tibiao River. All-inclusive program, departing daily from Caticlan (jump-off point for Boracay) unless by prior arrangement. Whitewater river kayaking/rafting usually possible from July to February at no extra charge.

Club and youth group rates available.

Inclusion: Transport to & from Boracay

Benefits: Caretaker cook, guided hikes, whitewater sit-in or sit-on kayak/rafting, meals, drinks
